    answer, r = 5 inches or r = 25 inches.

    ok, i'll try to give workings.

    r^2 = (r-10)^2 + (r-5)^2
    = 2r^2 - 30r + 125
    r^2 - 30r + 125 = 0
    (r - 5)(r - 25) = 0
    r = 5 or r = 25 inches.

    i know r = 25 is the right answer.
