Questions about Ati Hd Audio Driver:
-
you have to get drivers for ur gpu's manufacturer's website and realtek drivers from ur motherboard's
manufacturer's site i can get the links for you if u tell me manufacturer's of ur components
-
Doing it in the BIOS isn't necessary.
First you need to clear up some hard drive space. At least 10 Gigs need to be free. This is because of things that you have to take into consideration, such as Paging Files. Some stuff uses blank space on the hard drive temporarily, so it's already spoken for, though it says it's free to use.
Now uninstall the Card all together and reboot, when it pops up and says it needs the driver, tell it to let you show it where it is, and do so, save it to the desktop to make that easier. Once it is finished installing, you may need to reboot. Leave it in the integrated video for now.
Right click the desktop (this is where it helps to know your OS):
Choose Properties(Personalize in Vista, then Display settings, it's the same for both from here on out) now go to the tab that lets you adjust your Screen Resolution, above the resolution bar, you should see the name of the Integrated video, click the drop down tab next to it and choose the new card, now check the box that says "Extend Desktop to this...".
Now go back to the integrated video and uncheck the box that says "Make this the default...".
Now go back to the New HD Card and Check the box that says " Make this the default...".
If your HD card's installation went correctly, you should be in business.
