Hate to be the one to tell you this but all the free ones will give you virus's, just like limewire did. They are all basicly the same, peer to peer, meaning the files come from other peoples computer, they are no different then limewire.
Your are much safer paying for the songs. Paying .99 per song is not bad and it's a lot cheaper in the long run, then needing to have someone clean your computer from all the virus's.

Well you seach for the thing you desire and download the torrent file. After the small 1~100kb file is dled, launched the torrent application and open the torrent with the application. It will slowly download from peers until you are at 100%. It's a system of P2P which can be very slow at times so just let it run overnight. There are two different types of users, those who "Seed" and those who "Leech". A seeder is a person who has the file but wants to share it to everyone(Via Uploading). A leecher is someone who just wants the file they desire and doesn't wish to slow their bandwidth via uploading so they only download to 100%. After finishing a file, leechers usually delete the TORRENT off their list and keep the data of the downloaded torrent. So basically, DL the torrent file, wait for it to download, while downloading set your download to unlimited and upload to around 10~20KB/S so you can download the file first then seed if you desire to contribute. I for one usually download a file first then seed for a few days. Also, when your looking for a torrent it is a good idea to find a torrent that is healthy, such as one with S(seeders)7L(leechers)239. The leechers are higher because people want to finish the download fast also the seeders are low because most people don't care to seed for too long.
