    I have the same problem too. But customer support told me to go to thier agent and get a new modem. Since then I never have a single problem since 2010. I have a premier service and I love it. I play alot online, watch Hulu, netflix and HD movies in my bluray and never get disconnected in the middle of the game or movies. You just probably got a bad modem. If you call them and ask for replacement of modem your problem is probably fix now.
    I have my desktop hook up directly to the modem. then I have my laptop using the wi-fi. The kids have thier IPOD using wi-fi. I don't need to buy a router, all of my device are all using the Stelera modem. Even my wireles printer works with it.
