    Super Mario World is the cartoon that had cavemen. They just changed colors in cartoons randomly because kinds dont notice that stuff. On Captain N, King Hippo from Punch Out was blue!

    I think you're confusing the years here. In 1989, the show was called "Super Mario Bros Super Show". This TV show was based on the first two Super Mario Bros games from the original NES console.

    Then in 1991, another TV show came and was named "Super Mario World" just like the video game for the Super NES. This is the show that had the cavemen you're talking about. But I don't remember them being there all the time like you're saying..

    As for the hair color, I don't know what to answer to that. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal. Most viewers probably didn't even paid attention to that detail anyway.
