Dosbox Download Windows Xp
-
When you load up DosBox the first thing is you have to mount the directory that the program is in. To do that use this command:
mount c c:/"complets folder path"
This will make c: point to the directory point right to the folder you need. Now type in c: and that will change you to the newly mounted c directory. Now type in this command
dir/p
This will display everything in the directory in a page view so if there is a ton of files it break it up so you can easily see them. Now all you have to do is find the file you need to run and type that in and you should be good to go

Make a shortcut to the program (usually the .exe file) , then right-click on the shortcut, select Properties, and investigate the Compatibility tab. This should let your XP simulate earlier versions of Windows.
Good luck.
you can do the right click on icon - properties - run in windows 95 mode. you can also use dosbox for games that are mainly retro dos games.
If you want to install windows 95 operating system as its own window within xp, you can use microsofts virtual pc. This way you can operate the fully functional windows 95 seperate from xp, and play all the old games you like!
