    Simple: Disable your firewall while playing WoW.

    Complicated: Open your firewall settings (under security centre), select allow exception/access, add the wow program to the list (both launcher and wow.exe)

    Reinstall the game and download patches up to 3.3.5

    Also why would you want to play on a private server.Nobody uses them,glithcy and all that custom content and vendors is stupid. Plus the amount of people that are on at any one time is very little

    hav you looked to see if you hav a fire wall up kuz once i tried to download ot and I just turned my fire wall off
