    Well when I bought it they sent an activation code, if you didn't get it then you can ask them to resend it. They are pretty good, not great, about customer service, ask avast.

    No. That AVG thing was unrelated. Yesterday apparently AVG's latest virus definition update somehow caused files in the iTunes folder to be labelled as viruses. It is what is called a "False Positive".
    Updating AVG's definition file or eliminating iTunes & iPod folders in the Resident Shield would solve this problem.

    I got that same problem last night (as did many iTunes users who use AVG as their anti-virus).
