Questions about Sax2:

  1. OpenSUSE 10. 2008-01-18 14:52:55

Is the right knernel installed? If you don't find one anywhere, you might have to build your own with the modules for the graphics card included.

  1. OpenSUSE problem? 2007-03-09 10:35:45

I don't know if I will be able to help.
Which version of opensuse are you using?
When you boot I take it you get the linux login, so have you tried:
    su root
    password:
    init 3 ¬
    sax2

Have you tried to configure sax2 using the vesa driver for your graphics card?

Also try this forum post it may have a couple of clues in it for your problem:

    Also try:

Email me if you want, not sure if I can help but will try.

  1. Open suse on sony vaio problem !? 2008-03-10 11:09:58

Hi, r the drivers installed then run the following commands:

    sudo gnome-xgl-switch –disable-xgl

    Nvidia doesn't need xgl.

    run these commands:

    open a konsole

    type "su"
    run these commands as root

    nvidia-xconfig
    nvidia-xconfig –composite

    nvidia-xconfig –render-accel

    nvidia-xconfig –add-argb-glx-visuals -d 24

    restart your system
