    How long has it been since you cleaned out your computer and defragged it? If you don't have some kind of virus or spyware you can bet you have plenty of clutter. Get these tools. They will help you speed your machine back up.

    Do you have anything plugged into a USB port? If you do that's where your getting the 'Safely Remove Hardware' It depends on what you are using as of whether you should click it or not.

    If your running XP there are certain processes you can turn off that will make your computer faster and safer. You do that from start/run/ type msconfig in the box. Have you ever done check disk?

    start/run/ type in the box chkdsk let it check your disk. It will delete lines your computer doesn't need anymore.

    Limewire blows, full of trash. Go to tools then click on manage your add-ons. Then be sure you disable everything to do with limewire in that window. That should do it.
