    You need a PCIe graphics card with the equivalent video out ports for your monitor.

    Any GPU will work just fine.

    Yes your computer should be able to run 6990 the only thing you want to check is your power supply
    ati recommend a 750W Watt or greater power supply with two 150W 8-pin and a 1000W and four 8-pin connectors recommended fo crossfire 1200W recommended for optimal performance.

    I can't remember exactly, but I do remember that I had to open my xbox up and attach the dvd drive to my computer using a SATA cable in order to flash the firmware. And in doing this I could see what version of iXtreme I had. I can't imagine a way to see your version of iXtreme without connecting the DVD drive to your computer. I hope that helps.
