   The above answers list good sources to get low frequencies.
   
   There are some precautions you may need to take before you do this though. If you have a ported enclosure you will not want too low of a frequency. If you play a frequency lower then the tuning frequency of your enclosure your subs could unload. This could wreck the subwoofers. To prevent this you would want to use a subsonic filter that is set just below the tuning frequency of your enclosure. Or you could just not play a frequency below the tuning frequency of your enclosure.
   
   Just an FYI, you cannot hear frequencies below 20Hz so you don't need anything that low.

   There's a really great toolbar you can install on Internet Explorer that will allow you to record anything you can hear from your speakers. I love it!

   This depends on what exactly you want to do. If all you want to do is change the way your music sounds when you play it back, use windows media player's equaliser. Turning on the SRS and TRU Bass effects should also help.
   
   If you actually want to edit the media files to increase the bass, use Audacity's Bass Boost function. Audacity can be freely downloaded from the internet (google it).
