    Fnet(t)=mv2-mv1 is totally wrong, you can't get a force by subtracting two momenta.

    You get the acceleration on each from a = ∆V/∆t
    and from the acceleration and the mass, you get the force from F = ma

    player 1, ∆V = 8±1.77 (– if direction is unchanged, + if the direction is reversed)
    ∆t = 0.3 sec

    player 2, ∆V = 12±1.77 (– if direction is unchanged, + if the direction is reversed)
    ∆t = 0.3 sec

    you have the masses, so you have all you need to do the calculation.
