    Yes but they would destroy Japan along with it. (You are looking for N2 mines not S2 mines.)
    N2 mines are the exact same as a nuclear bomb....minus the radiation. The explosion is still just as powerful. Placing multiple ones would destroy the landscape, crack the bedrock, and most likely cause terrible earthquakes and erupted volcanoes from the shifted plates.

    There are really "two" Evangelions, in a way, the old, and the new. They are really separate things, and there's no plot continuity between them.

    "Old" Evangelion - The origonal series and the two movies that go along with it.
    1. Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV series)
    2. Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth (movie, basically just a recap of the series)
    3. Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion (movie, an alternate ending to the TV series)


    "New" Evangelion - The 4 new movies. Together, these 4 movies are a complete alternate retelling of the series, a total restart. Only 2 of these movies have actually been released. The next two will be released in the future, but no dates have been decided yet.
