  1. Would Osho Dynamic Meditation be helpful for someone with SEVERE social anxiety? 2012-02-22 08:55:44

Yes it can. OSHO Dynamic medication is not one I have heard of but doing some research it like the meditation - you get problems out, fear, thoughts, feeling and release the stress out of yourself. I seen this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4506616324224559004 and http://www.osho.com/Main.cfm?Area=Meditation&Sub1Menu=ActiveMeditation&Sub2Menu=Dynamic

Meditation helps to relieve stress that impacts many people's day to day lives.

Challenging these negative thoughts, either through therapy or on your own, is one effective way to reduce the symptoms of social anxiety disorder

Many changes happen in your body when you become anxious. One of the first changes is that you begin to breathe quickly. Over breathing throws off the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in your body—leading to more physical symptoms of anxiety, such as dizziness, a feeling of suffocation, increased heart rate, and muscle tension.

  1. Is it true that modern man has to start with dynamic meditation to begin his journey towards enlightment? 2010-11-08 13:14:14

Osho created Dynamic, Kundalini, Mandala, Nataraj and other active meditations for the modern man to enter more easily into the silent space of meditation. It is not a 'has to' but 'helpful for.' With Osho we do not have strict rules or commandments. From many people's experience it is very helpful in the beginning of one's spiritual journey to use active meditations to clean out the unconscious and to raise energy.
Personally I liked to practice Kundalini Meditation, when I first met Osho, I did it every day for 6 months. I did Dynamic whenever I attended a therapy group, which at one time meant I did it for 3 months every day. On other occasions I did Dynamic whenever I felt I had the need.
Many seekers on the Osho Way like to practice a meditation technique for either 21 or 90 days. In the Book of Secrets, Osho says to try a method for a few days and it it suits you continue for 3 months, then you'll experience the full benefit of that technique.
However my favourite meditation has been Darkness Meditation, which is perhaps the most passive of all meditations. I suggest you to balance an active meditation with a more passive method.
Osho's books "The Orange Book," "Meditation: the First & Last Freedom," "Meditation: the Art of Ecstasy" and "Vigyan Bhairav Tantra: the Book of Secrets," are excellent books to read about Osho's meditations.
