    To my understanding, I don't think you need a BIOS file if you're running the latest Visual Boy Advance on Windows. The latest VBA supports clock-based events (via internal battery). Even on a Mac, the gbasys.bin (it's BIOS image) is already included and you don't have to alter anything. The BIOS file should only be used if you're running an emulator on devices such as the PSP or iPhone (gpsphone.app).
