    I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly. Do you mean using AJAX to create a windows application instead of only a Web application? If so, I'm thinking not exactly. AJAX means Asynchronous Javascript And Xml. And so, as Javascript is a language designed for execution on the client computer though the Web, in itself, no. HOWEVER, you CAN use Javascript and AJAX to handle client/server needs, while you use other tools to handle their jobs. As I'm saying these things, however, I'm recalling from my very brief reading of Miss Sexy Silverlight (just Silverlight) that developers can combine the super awesome abilities of XML, Javascript, AJAX, and else to create beautiful, seemingly do it all applications. I strongly suggest you read about it so that you can, hopefully, get a clearer picture than I have thus far (had to put off reading it to do other important, needed developing stuff).
